Privacy policy

Last updated: 14 October 2026

1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy explains how Loewert Group AG collects, uses and protects personal data when you visit our website or contact us.

We process personal data in accordance with the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) and, where applicable, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Data controller

The controller responsible for processing personal data through this website is:

Loewert Group AG

Viaduktstrasse 42
4051 Basel
Switzerland

info@loewertgroup.com

3. Personal data we collect

  • Contact details and enquiry content that you provide through our contact form or by email, such as your name, email address, company name and message.
  • Business correspondence and contact information needed to handle enquiries and maintain business relationships.
  • Technical information processed automatically when you visit the website, such as your IP address, browser information, access times and requested pages.

4. Purposes and legal basis

We use personal data to respond to enquiries, prepare quotations, communicate with customers, suppliers and business partners, operate and secure our website, prevent spam and misuse, and comply with legal obligations.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on the performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures, compliance with legal obligations, our legitimate interests in operating our business and website securely, or your consent where required.

5. Contact form

Our contact form collects your name, email address, company name and message. All four fields are required so that we can respond to your enquiry.

Your submission is transmitted securely to our website backend and delivered by email, through our email delivery provider Resend, to info@loewertgroup.com, where it is received and managed in Microsoft 365. Submissions are not stored in a separate website database.

To protect the form against spam and misuse, your IP address is briefly processed to limit the number of submissions; it is not stored for this purpose.

6. Website hosting

Our website and its backend infrastructure are hosted by Lovable (Lovable Cloud).

When you visit the website, the hosting infrastructure processes technical information such as your IP address, browser information, access timestamps and requested pages, and records it in server logs. This is necessary to deliver the website, maintain its security and resolve technical problems.

Our domain loewertgroup.com is registered and its DNS is managed with IONOS. IONOS does not host this website.

7. Cookies and browser storage

Our website does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

We use only browser storage that is necessary for the website to function: to support page navigation. The language of the website is determined by the page address (URL) and is not stored in your browser.

8. Analytics and third-party content

Our website does not use Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, advertising pixels or other analytics or tracking services.

Images, videos and fonts are delivered through our own hosting; we do not embed content from external providers such as video platforms, maps or social networks.

9. Service providers

We use the following service providers, which process personal data on our behalf only to the extent necessary to provide their services:

  • Lovable (Lovable Cloud): website hosting and backend infrastructure.
  • Resend: delivery of contact form emails.
  • Microsoft 365: receiving, storing and managing business correspondence, including enquiries sent through the contact form.
  • IONOS: domain registration and DNS management.

10. International data transfers

Some of our service providers, or their sub-processors, may process personal data outside Switzerland and the European Economic Area, including in the United States.

Where personal data is transferred to a country without an adequate level of data protection, the transfer is subject to safeguards set out in the respective provider's data processing terms:

  • Lovable is established in Sweden, within the European Economic Area.
  • Resend is based in the United States. Its data processing addendum incorporates the Standard Contractual Clauses of the European Commission, and it is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.
  • Microsoft is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and the Swiss-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, and its data protection addendum includes the Standard Contractual Clauses.

You may contact us for further information on the safeguards used.

11. Data retention

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy or as required by law.

  • Enquiries and business correspondence: for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and any resulting business relationship. Where correspondence forms part of business records that are subject to statutory retention under Swiss law, it is kept for the legally required period of ten years.
  • Contact form email delivery records: kept by our email delivery provider for a limited period for delivery and troubleshooting purposes, in accordance with its retention settings.
  • Technical and security logs: kept by our hosting provider for a limited period necessary for operating and securing the website.

When personal data is no longer required, it is deleted or anonymised.

12. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, misuse and alteration, including encrypted data transmission, access controls and anti-spam protection.

13. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you have the right to request access to, correction or deletion of your personal data, to object to or restrict certain processing, to request data portability and to withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

To exercise your rights, please contact us at:

info@loewertgroup.com

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection supervisory authority. In Switzerland, this is the Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC).

14. External websites

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for their data protection practices; please refer to their privacy policies.

15. Changes to this privacy policy

We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to our website, services or legal requirements. The current version is always published on this page with its revision date.
